Errol and Marcia

This couple was living in deplorable conditions. The house behind them is where they were living. The house was caving in. The house was beyond repair and needed immediate help.

”Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 NKJV

Look what the Lord did!

Errol and Marcia are now living in a safe, new home. We are thankful for the Lord’s guidance and direction to make this happen with the support of generous donors and volunteers.

Ms. Ivy

Her before story is below. We were able to build Ms. Ivy a new home which was completed on July 27, 2022. All glory to God!

She is a resilient 92-year old woman who is strong in faith and knows that the Lord provides for her. She is not only spiritual strong, but she is strong physically. The door behind her is where she enters the house. There aren’t any steps so she climbs in and out of this dilapidated house in strength. With your help we are not leaving her in these conditions. For income Ms. Ivy receives Jamaica’s version of social security which is equivalent to $45 per month so she doesn’t have the ability to change her current living conditions on her own.

God has a plan for Ms. Ivy and He has prosperity for each one of us. We can’t help everyone, but Ms. Ivy was placed in our path for a reason. She isn’t smiling in this picture so you can’t see her full-of-life personality that just beams with confidence in the Lord and how He watches over her. She is a shining example of making the best of any circumstance you are in.

”For I know the plans I have for you” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 NLT

Her home was unsafe. The walls were caving in and the floor was barely standing. In addition, there is no running water, no bathroom, and no kitchen.

Jackie

Jackie’s before story is below. We were able to build Jackie a beautiful new home for her and her family which was completed on July 18, 2022. All glory to God!

Jackie and her two sons currently live in a very small home on land that is rented. Jackie also has 3 grandchildren to whom she frequently provides care.

Jackie’s home has two rooms with two beds. One room is shared with the kitchen, and the other room is the living room. There isn’t a dedicated bedroom for anyone. It has an outhouse for a bathroom.

Jackie and her family have dealt with these conditions, but the owner of the land has given her notice to leave. Her time has expired and she has nowhere to go. Jackie now has land available that was donated by her sister so she can build a home, but she does not have enough money to build it. That is where we all come in with help from the Lord.

Jackie earns the equivalent of $65 US per week and works 72 hours per week. If you do the math, that is less than $1 US per hour. Her two sons work odd end jobs, but the availability of jobs in their area is scarce. The options are low, but they are resilient and look for work daily.

”Therefore, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.”
